how do u release a segment in idoc

after creating the segment in we31 tcode i.e giving fieldnames & data elements then u want to release goto menu->edit->set release. then u will get the release no i.e what is the latest patch applied to the software.

Hi chaitanya yeduguru

To release an IDoc Segment go to Edit->Set Release.

Before releasing and using the IDoc be sure that you are not going make further changes in segment structure. bcoz to make change you have to cancel the release.
