Hi forum,

I'm in coping a R/3 system. I receive a off-line backup as copy all data file from filesystem (1,5 TB) into a NAS.

I've mount the NAS in a path and now I'm coping all database structure from NAS to target <SID> structure with cp -r /oracle/<SOURCE SID> /oracle/<TARGET SID> command.

What is the best and fast way to do this on Solaris 10 ?

Regards.

cp -r is good if it´s a one-time copy.

Keep in mind, that you copy on the data files and not the Oracle software itself.
