Hi All,
What are the impacts on material documents, purchasing documents, purchase info records and source list (existing for the material) if a particular material has been flagged for deletion. What are the best practices to flag a material for deletion in this case? Your answers are appreciated!!
Thanks!
Fareed

There isn't any impact to the existing doc when you flag a material for deletion, just that system will issue a warning message to inform the material is marked for deletion. The user can ignore the message and proceed with the transactions.
The normal practise is your company should define a rules about under what scenario the material need to be mark for deletion and what actions can the user department do or don't do when they saw such a message.
For example, the material need to mark for deletion due to error in define material master, or obsolete or change spec. Then for each of those scenario, what other department (purchasing, inventory GR/GI) should aware of for each of those cases.
