How to consume metadata generated using Illuminator service into a smart table?

I generated metadata using illuminator service of SAP MII

http://<server>:<port>/XMII/IlluminatorOData/$metadata?QueryTemplate=<template name>

But I see no annotation section in the metadata.How do I consume the metadata into a smart table? Or How can I generate the required format?

I don't believe the MII provides this option, annotations come from CDS views. In Web IDE you do have the option to generate the annotations locally.
