Freight charges in shipment cost doc

Hello guys,

There is a condition type in the shipment cost doc which calculates the frieght charges for the items and is displayed at the Net value field in the document,now the requirement is to calculate the %age from the exisitng freight charges according to carrier for the whole document(from the net value in the document).

as the documents are created by batch jobs and its not possible to use header conditon as this would be a manual work,so how can i acheive this using condition type at item level and calculating the %age from the Net value,i am not able to figure out how,so could you'll please help me and provide a solution.

Hi Gurus,

I have a complex problem to solve,if could pls help me solve it..

we are implimenting shipment functionality and the freight is calculated based on the weight of

the deliveries in the shipment.For e.g if there are 2 deliveries in the shipment the system would

calculate the total weight of the deliveries and distribute the freight cost on pro rata

basis,but the requirement also says that the minimum freight cost for a delivery should not be

less than $5, say the total freight cost of the combined deliveries is $15 and if Delivery 1 has

low weight resulting in freight cost $4 and the Delivery 2 has freight cost 11,then the frieght

would be jacked up for the Delivery 1 to make it $5.Now jacked up price of $1 should be adjusted

in Delivery 2,making the freight cost to $14.

One other thing we will not be using shipment cost functionality.The freight calculation is done

at the delivery level.

Creating a Header freight condition type with calculation base weight and setup as grp condition

would not help because the calculation of the frieght is done across deliveries.

I tried thinking a lot of ways to find a solution to it but i just gave up,if you gurus have any

bright ideas you can share it with me.

I am not clear on your above statement. Please be clear in your post so that you will get a suitable suggestions.

Through standard configuration this is not possible even if you configured shipment cost due to the fact the scaling is not uniform in your case. This is based on the assumption that you are not configuring shipment cost.

You have to add this logic in your existing routine assigned to delivery pricing procedure.

Incidentally, you have so far posted 13 questions out of which 9 are still open. Please try to close wherever it is answered.
