production order release problem

Dear pp gurus!

when i converted to planned order to production order system shows relese rejected. when i see the error goto-logs-release.system shows number range is not defined.

how to solve this problem. plz explain with detail procedure

Just clarify me one thing- by reading your problem what i have understood is tht

you are able to convert the planned order to production order but you are not able to release it-is it so?

Also give the details of the error-Number range for what is not maintained,if possible send me the screen shot

you have to define number ranges to your defined order type.

Manoj,

Have you created new order type or using the standard one?

While converting check which order type is picked by the system

If you have created the new order type then that order type need to be assigned to the plant in OPL8

Check n revert back

hi svp!

i created new order type.and assign this order type in plant. in opl8 also rooting selection -3 and selection id -01. but problem not solved

Dear Srikanth,

First check your settings for an order type.

1.Define Order Types – OPJH.

2.Define Order Type Dependent Parameters – OPL8.

3.Define Status Profile – BS02(Not a must)

4.Define Selection profile – BS42.( not mandatory)

5.Define Number Ranges for Orders – CO82.

6.Define Number Ranges for Confirmations – CO80.

7. Define Number Ranges for Reservations – CO83.

8. Define Number Ranges for Operations – CO81.

9. Define Number Ranges for Capacity Requirements – CO84.

In the first post you have said number ranges not maintained,so check with the

above T codes and work ahead.

What you have mentioned is related to order type dependent parameters,where it

will show problem related to picking of routing & BOM.

Hi

Check for ur order type/plant business transaction 2 in OPJK the field mat release,If the mat shortage is there system won't allow u to release the order.
