Lumira 2.0 Discovery error when running query from universe

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else is facing the same issue with Lumira Discovery.

I am on Lumira 2.0 Discovery SP2 Patch 1.

When creating a query from a UNX universe on the default business layer view it works fine.

However if I create a query with objects on the same universe from any business layer view that is not the default one, I get the following error.

com.sap.bi.da.extension.unx.xi41.dsl.fields.DSLField.getDisplayName() of a null object loaded from local variable 'field'

If anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi

I am also getting the same error for particular user, while creating the Query from Universe.

Is this something related to Lumira installation?

    Thanks,

David - does your universe have prompts? Could this note be related? https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2538977

If not, maybe consider doing a trace per this SAP note and review the results: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2220451

      Hi Tammy,

Thanks for the response. Yup I did and SAP Support just went through the typical routine of retrieving logs.

I'm surprised no one else is facing this issue as I would have thought many people would be using Lumira Discovery on universes with multiple business layer views. I guess Lumira Discovery is still too new.

      Regards

      David

    David,

You mean the universe you have is Multiple Data source. What is your data source? And BOE version?

I am getting same error. Were you able to resolve it?

      Nope.

Apparently it is a bug that is carried over from the previous version of Lumira and is scheduled to be fixed for the next release. Hopefully this gets fixed as we are not able to use Lumira until the fix is released :(
