Tcode Mb01, Serial number error when i enter manually.

Dear Experts

Tcode : mb01

When I am using movement type 101 for purchase order using tcode Mb01, in The “Maintain Serial Numbers” pop up window I manually enter Serial number (same material) then I getting following error , if I take default serial number it won’t gives error.

Batch for serial number 2 (0000041047) differs from document batch 0000041156

Message no. IO229

Diagnosis

You have entered an incorrect batch or movement type.

The batch entered in the document or movement type does not correspond to the batch or movement type saved in the master record of the serial number.

System Response

The system cannot perform the function.

Procedure

Use another serial number or batch.
