PP: Capacity in QM

Hi Gurus,

We are manufacturing company and we have QM set up. We use standard 2 hrs for our QC/QM operations in Receipe. This is not correct.

I want to manage capacity of our QM department. Can anyone suggest me the set up for this?

All the steps mentioned by SVP are correct.In QA32 you have do the results recording before the UD .It is Results recording where you valuate or confirm the activities .Once all the activities are confirmed you carry on with UD where you release the material and do the stock posting from Q Inspection to unrestriced use .

Results recording and UD can be done either in QA32 or QE51n for results recording and QA11 fo UD.To do Results recording in QA32 which is a workilist click on icon where it says results followed by Usage decision icon for UD.

Also in QP01 ,inorder for quality inspection for an operation you need to assign a Master Inspection Charatceristic(MIC) for that particular operation whcih will be valaute or confrimed during results recording

QS24 is the Tcode for creating MIC.

Hi Ram,

Create your QM department as one of the resource & assign capacities for the same as you do for a regular resource

Assign this resource to the recipe

Capacity requirements will get generated,shecduling will happen

While confirmation you can confirm the actual time spent,by doing so you can evaluvate & increase your efficiency

QM comes into picture when product is produced and placed into QI stock. They do the inspection there only. So can you provide a simple example?

Raja Ram,

These are the follwoing setting you need to make

In the material master-QM view -Inspection set up-you have to maintain 04-GR inspection from production

Create a separate work center for Final quality inspection with lab category

In QP01 you have to maintain final quality inspection as operation with the work center

Once the GR is done,the inspection lot will get created

the go to QA32 ,there you have to make the UD(usage decision)

There you can confirm the activities

hi raja

in the work center which you are specifying in the routing you can enter upto SIX standard values,try to assign this QM work also in to that and make then as required entry
