Hybris marketing and facebook look-a-like audiences

Hi Experts,

I understand that Hybris Marketing has the capability to market to Look-a-Like audiences in facebook by exporting a target group to Facebook and then asking it to find similar individuals.

The challenge I have is how does the data come back into Hybris Marketing? If a new individual who is not know to us interacts with our Facebook ad, will this create a new Unknown contact in Hybris Marketing with a Facebook Identifer and no credentials or will this just come through as a success metric against the Campaign?

Dear Mike,

Only success metrics are sent back when using custom audiences in Facebook. No new IC will be created whatsoever from Facebook Campaigns.

With regards,

Akil

Hi Mike,

1) This solution provides a solution for loading non-SAP, and third-party data for the SAP Hybris Marketing solution into SAP HANA.

The scope covers the following sources:

Data Management Objects load - The solution provides templates to load various data management supported objects such as contacts, accounts, products and many more via OData web service using predefined Excel templates.

Social media load - The solution allows you to load data from social media channels such as Twitter, Google+, Facebook fan pages, and Excel based data using social media channels' public APIs.

Email load - The solution allows you to load emails from predefined Excel template or EML files.

In addition to those data integration functionalities, we provide data quality management functions such as cleansing, enrichment, matching, and de-duplication of data before it is loaded.

2) success metrics are sent back when using custom audiences in Facebook.

Hi,

This isn't really what I asked but still useful. When you say about the E-Mail load, is this to load interactions of type Email? If so why wouldn't you just use the standard Interaction API?

Many thanks,

Mike
