Hi,
Recently I saw that in our system a customer was receiving subsequent MSDS's while the last order was more than 12 months ago. This is not correct when regarding the 12 months rule that was setup in customizing.
I was wondering if (when using the subsequent shipping process) it is necessary to mark the checkbox " subsequent shipping" in the customizing for the SUB_CALL reason. In our system it is marked, but when reading the SAP help about this topic, it seems that this setting could influence the 12 month check. SAP writes that the system looks to previous shipping orders with a previous version, the target shipping date within the last 12 months and the subsequent shipping checkbox is marked. If this is the case the SUB_CALL shipping orders are also relevant (in our system) for the check. This will lead to the shipping of MSDS's to customers that have ordered a product more than 12 months ago (only if within 12 months a new major version is generated). When removing the mark in the checkbox of the SUB_CALL customizing this would be fixed.
Am I correct to remove the subsequent mark in the checkbox to fix the problem?
Regards,
Paul
