Hello. I have such an error.

Unable to determine parameter "DNS domain name". DNS domain name is not configured in resolv.conf (UNIX) or the registry (Windows) and neither getaddrinfo nor gethostbyname could retrieve it.
Failed action: with parameters
Error number 301 error type SPECIFIC_CODE

Please, help.

Lu Lu,

What operating system is this?
What version of SWPM/sapinst you are using (SAR archive name of the SWPM) or sapinst -v and send the compile date

Regards,

Hendrik

Hendrik.

Linux mint 18.2 and opensuse 42.2 (64 bit)

7.51 and 7.50 version "sap_netweaver_as_abap_751_sp02_ase_dev_edition"

License to march 2018.

In two cases the same errors.

These are unsupported Linux versions but you should check SAP Note 2502022,
perhaps this will solve the problem.

Thank you for comment. Seems SAP removed this note :(
