Friends,

I have a customer who buys the material in the box and the unit of measurement for this material is UN.
How can I put in info record so that the order is always opened in the specific unit of measurement for the customer?

Thanks in advance for your help.

There was a recent improvement delivered by Customer Influence initiative - 2417696 - Customer Material Unit of Measure in transaction VD51/VD52/VD53 - Customer Connection D11840.

Check it out, I believe this is precisely what your client asks for.

Hi Veselina,

We are with SAP ECC 6.0 and the note 2417696 has the status of "Can not implement".

In VD51 / VD52 / VD53 does not display the field for VRKME.

When entering a new record, the basic unit of measure is inserted into the KNMT table without my being able to change it.

There are prerequisites to fulfill before you can implement the note - the steps are described in the note itself. You probably need to ask your BASIS colleagues to help you out with these.

The improvement is available starting from 605 - if you fulfill this minimum, it must be possible to apply the corrections.

Please use "Comment on this answer" to reply to the existing answers. If you post another answer then no one gets notified of your reply. Also when it's not really an answer it confuses the readers.

While I'm on it - those Customer Connection notes require at minimum EHP6, if I remember correctly. Also some of them cannot be just implemented using SNOTE and require some manual work. Make sure to read the instructions in the note first.

P.S. Please also use a more descriptive title for the question, going forward. The current one is very confusing. Thank you.
