Hi,

I have contract SD with a BOM. Main position has a category item - TAP and Item category group - LUMF. Two additional positions have a category item - TAC and Item category group NORM. When I create a sales orders for additional positions in contract SD quantity is change, but the quantity in the main position remains unchanged. Is it possible to controlcontrol quantity for main position in contract SD?

Would you please post a few screenshots which illustrate the problem?

I find it difficult to understand what you meant by:

"When I create a sales orders for additional positions in contract SD quantity is change, but the quantity in the main position remains unchanged"

For example,I have a contract SD and quantity in the first position 5555G, then I created 2 sales orders, one of them:

And now if I'll create a new sales order the system offers me the next quantity from the contract SD. You can see that quantity for 20 and 30 position is changed (between 1st and 3rd capture) , for 10 - no.

If I understood you correctly, your expectation is that in the second order you should get:
item 10: 5000
item 20: 4980
item 30: 5
Here I assume that these are the only documents for this contract and there are no returns for example.
Maybe I misunderstood or miscalculated something, but to me also the quantities of the sub-items do not look right.
I made a simple test with a sales BOM material in a sandbox and I do not face this problem.

Here are my settings for item categories and copy controls - maybe by comparing to what you have, you can find the culprit (if this was just the main item I would have pointed you to look at copy controls, but I was unable to determine how the system calculated these strange quantities for the sub-items. My understanding is that you did not edit the quantities in the second order before taking screenshots and no master data was changed.

BOM Main Item Contract:

BOM subitem contract (I use empties here, this is the reason for pricing A):

BOM Main Order:

BOM subitem Order:

Copy controls:

I also tested the option with re-exploding structure (decided to use a multi-BOM), but even then I could not replicate your case.

If these are the only documents that you have for the contract and you did not edit your configuration or master data between tests and if you have the same settings as mine, I would start looking for custom logic overwriting the quantities.

Thank you so much, you screenshots really helped me, but for pricing I use X not A.

I use pricing A because my BOM is for implied empties and I use this to determine deposit conditions and bypass VAT, which is not related to the current question.

I do not see a problem with this setup working with X.
