SLT monitor Active status

Hi,

We want to monitor SLT (LTRC) and get an email alert whenever a status in LTRC changes from active to inactive.

In the tab expert functions there are some checks you can do, but the check to just monitor if the replication is active or inactive doesn't seem to be there.
We want to monitor this from the SLT system itself, so not from Solution Manager.

We are on DMIS 2011 SP9.

Does anyone know if this is possible, with or without Solution Manager?

Best regards,

Menno

much better of course if you can upgrade your SLT system to SP11 or higher.
But starting from SP11 the Healthcheck function was improved and can send a mail about different problems without helping any 3td party tools.

Hi Leo,

Thank you for your answer. We are currently implementing Solman 7.2, and I read some blogs that can indeed help with solman 7.2 monitoring the SLT server. Unfortunately, it will take a few more weeks until this is all in place, that's why I hoped there was something that can be activated in the SLT server itself.

Anyway, good that you can confirm that solman has templates that can monitor SLT 🙂
I guess we will have to wait for solman implementation to be finished.

Thanks again,

Best regards,

Hi

The SOLMAN interface is quite powerful we are using this, here you can also define that you want an alert if a specific table has more than i.e. 100,000 entries in the logging table, or a check on how many active tables you have etc.

The SOLMAN interface is a bit clumsy to get a grib on, but it works. There are default templates in SOLMAN for SLT alerting framework.
