Hi,

Any suggestion for sorting on multiple columns in WebI report for measure values.

I should get column values from highest level to lowest level.

I tried all the blogs ,I need to use without using input control.

Hi NK,

You can start the sorting from priority basis which means select each column one by one and apply the sorting according your requirements .

Please see the below link.

For example

My requirement is to select the columns dynamically from highest value to lowest value for measures

Is it possible to dynamically change the column orders in descending order based on its values. For example, below is my table:

Dim Measure 1 Measure 2 Measure 3 … X1 35% 22% 13% X2 10% 45% 23%

Based on the measure values, I need to sort the columns dynamically (Measure 1, Measure 2, Measure 3..). The table above is already sorted. If the value changes then again it should display data as per descending order

hi,

sorting will always be applied even when data is changing so if you refresh the report, sorting will arrange the data like you have defined it. Note that you have to check the sorting sequence.

in the screenshot you see that first the extended price descending will be set, then category ascending.

If you want to swap for instance between ascending/descending dynamically after refresh of your data, you will need to implement something extra, like the blogs you saw, there is no standard feature doing something like that.

Other way to handle it is to give the users more rights (to change report sorting like a developer) but unable other rights, but this can get complicated
