Publications - Dynamic Recipients error - HTTP 400 Bad Request

Hi experts,

I cannot create publication using dynamic recipients. The error message says:

This error (HTTP 400 Bad Request) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the web server, but the webpage could not be found because of a problem with the address.

It used to work fine. However, I have noticed this problem after BO update installation. Currently using SAP BO 4.2 SP04 Patch 01. Used to work fine with 4.2 SP03.

In addition, the previously created publications with Dynamic Recipients works fine. The problem now is that it is not possible to create new or edit publication's dynamic recipients.

Dynamice Recipient creation flow:

• Create a dynamic recipient report - simple report containing few columns : Group Name, Email. This webi report source is excel document published on BI platform. Report has no prompts.
• Create publication based on WebI report (for e.g. Sales)
• Navigate to Dynamic Recipients
• Select Web Intelligence Report Dynamice Recipient Provider
• Select the report (the one created in step #1 "dynamic recipient report")
• Select the query
• The error HTTP 400 appears

Any ideas what might cause this error and how to solve it?

I found the problem. The cause of this issue was the report that was created in step 1 "dynamic recipient report". The following report originally was created by a user located in Norway using Norwegian language settings. Therefore, the following report queries by default where called Spørring 1 (means Query 1).

For my case the title of the query is the cause of this issue. It seems BO is not able to get Spørring 1 and I guess the problem is with a symbol ø.

Solution: Rename the query of the "dynamic recipient report" to for e.g. Query 1 and it starts to work fine.
