Problem with support pack application

While applying Support packs in background, I always have to click on 'Adjust Modifications'. Unless I do that it doesnt let me proceed. But ideally Adjust modifications should be done as a post-processing step using SPAU/SPDD.

Please suggest the reason/remedy for this.

Also, while applying teh SP in foreground we can skip the Adjust Modifications part.

    Hi Gautam,

    The modification adjustments must be done inorder to maintain your

    settings which you have set for your business needs by modifying the

    standard sap code. If you don't think you can stop that step.

    If you install support package without modification adjustments then it

    would replace you modified code by SAP's standard code.
