PO FOR COST CENTRE

if we create Purchase for Cost centre that is as acc assignt as K , If we made the GRN, Is the stock comes under our storage location or else It is automatically consumed under the Cost centre . Please let me know clearly the overall aspect of the same.

hi ganesh,

whenever u give a storage location in a PO,

stock quantity is in that storage location,

and the value of that quantity is in cost centre accounts,

when you see the stock overview with MMBE the stock is at the storage location,

cost centre is not a physical location,

only values are maintained at itemcategories,

Materials purchase for cost centers are consumed at the time of GRN. you cannot take it to the inventory. But if you create the Purchase order for Sales order (E) or for Project (Q) it will be shown in MMBE under the special stocks.

Thanks for alll your fast response,,,,

But now one user has made the PO against the cost centre for a perticular Materail and the warehouse person made the GRN for the same , but in MMBE the stock is showing under our Sloc . Please let me know how to solve or go about the same.

Hello Ganesh,

when you create a PO with account assigned like "K' the Material is directly consumes means goes to costcenter.

When you do GR for respective PO, then you would not found storage loction field in GR at Item level in Where tab.

Please check the control data of your account assignment category.

The data might be changed.

Please note even with account assignment, you can monitor stocks provided if the control data of AAC is adequate. Example: AAC "Q" - Project stock.

Please check whether the control data of K is changed and made identical to Q.

dear ganesh,

when you are creating a P.O. with ref. to a cost centre, the material is directly cosumed at that cost centre specified in the P.O.

you cannot take that material in stock as it is consumed at the time of GR itself.
