Hello everyone,
We use Business Objects XI 3.1 SP7.
Does anyone know how to manage users connected by AD ? And specifically the suppression of one of them.
We have users and groups created by active directory. When we remove all the groups of a user in Active Directory, the groups in Business Objects are removed but it still stay the group "Everyone". So we have to delete the user manually, to be in the same situation in BO XI and Active Directory.
Is there any method or instruction that could allow directly the suppression of the users with just the "everyone" group without doing it manually?
Example :
Active Directory Group in active Directory
User1 Group_AD_BO
User2 Group_AD_BO
Business Object Group in Business Object
User1 Group_AD_BO / Everyone
User2 Group_AD_BO / Everyone
Suppression of User1 in Active Directory
So the situation is :
Active Directory Group in active Directory
User2 Group_AD_BO
Business Object Group in Business Object
User1 Everyone => How can it be removed automacally ?
User2 Group_AD_BO / Everyone
Thanks all for your answers.
Greetings.
Matthew
You can't delete AD or any third party authenticating user manually from CMC/BI Platform since the next graph update will bring them back if they are still members of AD group mapped into system.
If you want to deny access to some users like that - you can create enterprise group, call it NO ACCESS make that user(s) member of it and then deny access to this group to areas you want to prevent access to.
Explicit Deny will overwrite all other access.
