    Hi

Open SAP Management console and right click on host name and select STOP and wait for few sec to get stop all the workprocess tables. The colour of the system has to be in cement colour. earlier it was in green colour.

    Hi Rajesh

to restart xi server there are two things

    1) if you want to restart only java server then steps are as descibed by sai ganesh goto transaction SMICM=>administration=>j2eeinstance local=>softshutdown with restart

    2) if you want to restart total XI server including java and abap then you have to restart with SAP MANAGER

go to SAP MANAGER and stop and start xi server like if you have done in SQL server

its just like doing windows stop and start

    Thanks

    Sandeep

    PS: if helpful reward points
