Export to excel : Web template

Hi,

I have created a web template that contains 1 Analysis web item and 1 chart item.

Then i created 1 buttone with functionality of 'Export to excel'.

When i run my template it shows me analysis as well as chart, but in export to excel ouput it only exports 'ANALYSIS' but not the chart !!

Is there any restricted list of web items that well get export to excel, or what is the problem whyim not getting chart in excel.

ANy idea ??

Hi,

when you look on the parameters of your button.

in the properties of the command 'Export' you can choose which WebItems to use for the Export, maybe the chart item has to be added there.

This also works fine for chart items.....

Im using 7 version. In there we provide the data binding i.e which all items we need to be get exported among the used in the template. I have already did that.

But i think that chart is not exported to excel, can anyone confirm it ?

Its not working actually, im getting only analysis....

Can u send me the steps.

In the details of the command behind the button, see what all items are included. Probably its only the analysis item. You should include all items which you want to export (though I am not totally sure if chart will get exported to excel). You can also leave the list of items as 'default'; that generally works.
