Dobut in SAP Alerts

Hi

I am new for SAP alerts. How can i know about sap alerts. Can any one help me for SAP alerts. I have read sap.help doc. But I want to know about any tutor ie. step by step?

I would like to give one small my req. List of pending for approval POs - Plant wise

How can i know about that?

Anyone help me?

    Muthu,

    Alerts are basically of two types.

    1. System Alerts which come out of the box when you create a new company

    You can look at the System Alerts by going to Administratio > Alerts management and browse using the arrows on top. The system alerts have a fixed functionality and cannot be changed.

    Example: Deviation from % of Gross Profit, Deviation from Credit Limit, etc...

    2. User defined Alerts.

    User defined Alerts are based of a SQL query. You can create a SQL Query using Reports > Query Generator / Query Wizard / in SQL Server itself and Save it

    Then Open the Admin..>Alerts Management windows. Define a new query by giving a Name, Click Open Saved Query button and pick you query, Check Active check box, Under Frequency option chose the frequency / time interval.

    Select you receipients by check the Int check box against the User Name.

    Hi if u dont have any idea about alerts means then u can go through the e-learning,where u can have some idea about alerts and how to u use that...
