Hi Guys,
Some of the employees for example Inpatriates who come from different country do not have SSN. So, i tried to save infotype 2 without SSN, but the system rejected. So, i gave some random number, and the system took it. But when i run payroll, it recognizes it as dummy number and the payroll would not run. The system should be able to run payroll even if the SSN is dummy at least for Inpatriates who do not have SSN . How do we do this..??
Please help.
Thanks.
Sam:
The only thing payroll would check and reject on SSN is when SSN is '999-99-9999'. Therefore, use dummy SSN different than this, you would be OK. Also, per SSA, if you don't have a valid ssn for an employee yet, you would need to use ssn that starts with '999' (I think) so they know it's a dummy ssn.
Rgds.
