Sorting two actions and only using the upcoming "next" action in Crystal Reports

I’ve created a pipeline report and only want to show the upcoming open action on it. Since some individuals will have more than one “open” action (which is the field I am using to export my information) more than one action is being pulled and if I select to only export one action, it’s often times the incorrect action (however, it is still an open action, just in the futire). I chatted with support and they advised me that I would need to export two actions into the crystal report and then create a formula in order to suppress the two actions and only show the next and upcoming one. I have searched high and low and can’t seem to come to a resolution with a straight answer. Can you anyone help? I only want one action and have it be the next upcoming one.

Group By user and sort by Action date descending

Move all your details fields into Group header and suppress details and footer.

Report will now only show one record

Hi Ian, thanks so much for the response.

I am a new crystal user so I appreciate your help. When you say group by user, what should I be selecting?

This is my understanding:

Insert group > group by (what should I select here, action date?) then I would select in descending order? I've done this part before but I couldn't figure out a way to suppress the other action entry. If I move it into the Group header and suppress details and footer this will get rid of the second action entry?
