Sy-Batch in workflow

Hello experts,

Please let me know whether the value of SY-BATCH will be set to 'X' if the workflow is executed in background....If so kindly let me know how to check for value of SY-BATCH in workflow and settings required in workflow to set the SY-BATCH variable.

Thank You for your replies.

Can you please tell me the settings that has to be done in workflow to set the value of SY-BATCH to 'X'.

I am facing problem where SY-BATCH is not getting set if the workflow is executed in background..

I am running workflow in background mode and I am executing standard report(CP_PRT_MASS_CHANGE) in workflow. This report behaves differently based on the SY-BATCH value(If Sy-BATCH is not set it will throw screens else background upations will happen).

The problem which I am facing is that when this report is called from workflow step(background mode) SY-BATCH is not set and it is trying to throw the screen in background and hence it dumps.

I feel SY-BATCH will be set only if jobs are run in the background(i.e viewed in SM37).

Kindly help.

Uma,

Workfloe will always work in background only whenever it get triggered. So, no need to set any value to SY-BATCH.
