Difference in results when run from query designer and portal

Hi,

I get different results when I run the same report from query designer and from portal. I have all authorisation that is required.

Can some one help me with this problem or have an idea as to why this happens.

    Jaya,

    Have you given the same input which you have given in Analyzer??? and also please check out by mistake if you are maintaining any restrictions in the report which you have executed in portal..

      Jaya,

      Just go to the Infocube manage screen and check whether that particular request which have been loaded for october month is available for reporting or not...

      I am running a report for showing all the invoiced revenues in IS-U. I run the report for a period 01-2007 to 10-2007. But when I run the report from query designer i get values for all months from January to December. But if I run it from the portal, I do not get values for the month of October.

    Hi Jaya,

    What OS are you on etc...

    We are using BI7.0 on SQL 2005 and have found that if we run a report in Bex it hits a certain aggregate, but if we run it through the portal it hits a different aggregate.

    We are starting to look at the SQL statement that the queries generate through different points of access.

    We get the same data, but it may help you to understand what the query is doing when runnning through the portal.

    You may be able to mimic this in RSRT through the ABAP or Java view
