Hi Gurus

Can any one help in status management. In my scenario, i have to maintain status for prospect, he has some requirements about property which they are going to buy, once we meet this requirements(once prospect become sold-to-party), the status should change to closed. i would like to have some sort of solution. can any one help me please, very urgent.

Hi Shankar,

Do u want to maintain the status for BP? If yes can u inform what are the status value u want to maintain?

Hi Shankar,

Go to IMGCROSS APLLICATION COMPONENTSAP BPBPBASIC SETTINGStatus ManagementDefine Status Profile for User Status--

GO FOR NEW ENTRY THEN GIVE STATUS PFOFILE NAME TEXT AND MAINTAIN THE LANGUAGE AS EN.\

THEN AFTER THAT MAINTAIN THE STATUS AS

STATUS VALUE STATUS INITIAL STATUS

10 AND 20 OPEN AND CLOSE FLAG THAT

LOWEST VAL HIGHEST VALUE POSITION AND PRIOR

10 AND 10 20AND 20 ALWAYS 1 1 1 1

THEN CLICK ON OBJECT TYPE AND FLAG ON BP AND SAVE IT.

AFTER THAT GO TO CREATION OF BP AND IN STATUS TAB SEE UR VALUES.

REWARD WITH POINTS IF IT HELPS.

i did not find any object type, you mean transaction tab. and BP mean BP Usage or CHAN (Change BP)

Hi Shankar,

If u had maintained the values then u can see the OBJECT TYPE in that scren. It is above the status profile. click on that object type button.

If not found give me the emil id and I will send u the screen.

Once i assign one status, i am not able to change to different status, if i select open first, then if i would like to change it to close, i don't see any status when i click insert status

Hi Shankar,

That u can do in bp role grouping. In which role u wnt to assign the status and u can change the status to close by reassigning the status to bp role in status tab.

I have changed the role and assigned different user status, but can i do this automatically, as soon as prospect become sold-to-party, can we have closed status, actually, this status is depends on marketing attributes, the prospect may have two different requirements (as i said in my initial posting) and each requirements should have different status, how i can do this. Please get back to me. Hope you understood my scenario

Hi Shankar,

U can create bp by giving one status and save it. while changing the status u can change it to other mode as u have created the status profile. U can give every sold-to-party role as open or close while creating the bp.
