We are using ESS Web Dynpro in portal (SPS10) with workflow 12300111 for leave request. Everything works fine in portal: the employee makes his leave request, the manager is approving in UWL and leave request days are shown in portal as booked for the employee. But looking in UWL and its corresponding workflow, the task is with status finished but the generel workflow status is already on started (seeing it in UWL and in sap backend), although the whole process is finished. Any ideas, why this is happening?
Help would be rewarded.

Frank
you are saying that
the leave record after approval is updated in Infotype 2001 for the initiator
but in R/3 sap inbox the satus is started
is it?

No, it is also not updating in Infotype 2001, because the workflow status does not reach status finished. I can only see the aprooved days as set with status approved in portal, but the workflow will not be reached the status finished, so the HR data will not be updated. The status in portal for booked days get finished because the task in workflow get the status finished so why did the whole workflow not get the finished status?

go to personnel management->employee-self services->service-specific settings->working time->leave request->processing processes->Define Report Variants and Background Processing
1.check the documentation(as pasted below) and s. Create variants for the following reports:
RPTARQEMAIL (Leave Requests: Send E-Mails)
RPTARQLIST (Leave Requests: Check)
RPTARQERR (Leave Requests: Process Clock-In/Out Corrections)
2. Define background processing tasks for the following reports:
RPTARQEMAIL (Leave Requests: Send E-Mails)
RPTARQPOST (Leave Requests: Post)
RPTARQSTOPWF (Leave Requests: Complete Current Workflows)
chedule following jobs.
Is the program RPTARQPOST scheduled? (Or have you executed this program?)
The workflow waits until the leave request gets status posted, withdrawn or error. It doesn't end immediately after the approval. So in other words you should "post" the leave request.
