Balance in currency GBP,Currency type 10

Check your entries in Controlling.

menu path-->

spro --> controlling --> General controlling --> Organization --> Maintain Controlling area --> Execute it --> you will get a pop up --> in that Maintain controlling area --> Select your controlling area --> click on details icon:

you will see:

under Currency setting you will find:

currency type:xxxxxx and Currency: xxxx.

Change these fields for your requirement.

in your case Currency type is 10 --> menas comapany code currency,

currency: GBP --> is British Pound.
