Sales order status

Hi ABAP gurus,

i have one questions regarding sales order status.

I want to know how do i know the sales order is open or close.

In my defination sales order close means when we have Goods issue/Invoice for it.

I don't know when VBUP-GBSTA status is updated .

please tell me is it updated at goods issue or delivery.
