IP getting obsolete?

I heard rumor that SAP might End of Life the Integrated Planning application inview of the Outlooksoft and Business Object acquisition. On the contrary in the Teched'07 there was clear indication from SAP that IP to coexists with outlook soft etc and this would be made the primary planning engine even with Outlook soft application.

Any clarification on this would be welcome

    IP will be used for central planing and outllook aoft for regional planing applications. These set of data has to be integrated for central reporting.

    I think thats the best clarification you have got... SAP guys themselves telling during TechEd that IP will continue.
