Performance Appraisal - How to implement HRHAP00_TMPL_RESTR

We have created an implementation for the Badi "HRHAP00_TMPL_RESTR" to restrict the list of appraisee's for an appraiser to only the direct reports. In one of the posts I read that there is no need to configure this badi in OOHAP_BASIC.

The question is how do we incorporate the BADI in our template. When testing, the process does not stop at the breakpoint in the badi implentation. How can we test this? Kindly treat this as urgent and advice.
