Computer name change breaks local J2EE Engine

I was having a problem with my computer, and in order to fix it, I was given a new machine and my hard drive was taken out of the broken machine and put into the new one. To make this simple, let's say my old computer's name was OLDCOMPUTER and my new one is NEWCOMPUTER.

well, on my new computer now if I try to start my local J2EE Engine using the SAP Management Console it is still referring to OLDCOMPUTER and it won't start.

Long story short, I can NOT change my computer name back to OLDCOMPUTER (it has to do with the way they deploy software to our machines at work). Is there any other way to fix the problem?
