Hi, all
is it possible to install netweaver Java and Abap on the same machine? The obvious doubt is that MMC is part of the both package, once I installed netweaver Java, the MMC is installed, if I try to install netweaver abap, it will try to install MMC again which I think will cause some problem?
So anybody has experience installing both versions on the same machine? Is a machine 4G memory and dual processor of 2.2GHz with windows XP sp2 enough for this kind of installtion?
Thanks
Jayson
Hello Jayson,
Yes, you can install separated ABAP and JAVA engines on the same machine. MMC is not a concern at all.
Only Windows Server, not XP, is supported for standard SAP installation. (check server.sap.com/pam)

Victor

Hi Jayson,
I never tried to install SAP on XP myself... only heard that someone had issues with it, and it is not officially listed in PAM.
For separated ABAP and JAVA systems, you can install them in any order.
For ABAP+JAVA, you have to install ABAP first, or both at the same time.
All installation guides are available at https://service.sap.com/instguides
Best regards,
Victor
