Define Objects in the backend system (SRM 500, ECC 640)

Hi All,

The setting that we had for "define objects in the backend system" was external procurement for all product categories, all pruchasing groups to the only backend system we have.

Somebody added two more product cat (001 & 002) and customized it for reservation in the backend system.

Now, which one should be taken by the system.

First one as external procurement or

2nd one as reservation for the product cat 001 & 002.

I found that it was going to the reservation for these 2 categories.

My Problem:

New customization was deleted but still for these categories it is making reservation in the backedn system.

What should be checked to resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance.

SG.

Hi,

In case you have two entries one with " * " in Category ID and the other with specific category IDs like 001 or 002 having different settings from " * " then the specific settings would be taken as they were explicitly mentioned which overrules the general setting with " * ".

Regarding your another query pertaining to the creation of reservation even after deletion of the settings made....i recommend you to recheck your settings as it is not possible for the system to create some document in the back end w/o any trigger or a setting in SRM. Check your P.Group and Category ID combinations for which you have made the Shopping cart and the settings in SPRO.

Hope this helps in resolving your issue. Clarifications are welcome.

Hi Teja,

Thanks for the response.

You confirmed my observation that it is the specific one, which will take priority over the general "*" one.

I have checked the SPRO settings of the product category and purchasing group, and I am still working on it. Hopefully, I will find the mistake and correct it.

Thanks once again.
