Authorization question

Hi,

Have a quick question on whether this is possible and if yes some guidance on the same.

I would like to create an infoarea with only multiproviders and give access to the users only to that infoarea.

I would like not to include the infoproviders for those multiproviders in the same infoarea.

I was guessing that if i use S_RS_COMP i could restrict which area and multiproviders they can see.

In the analysis authorization i would give access to the same user to the infoproviders that are being used in the multiproviders.

Will this work??

thanks

amit

Yes this approach will work, but bear in mind this is high maintenance for furture especially if more Cubes/ODS/InfoObjects are added.

      Hello Shabar,

Can you explain why is it high maintenance , there is low maintenance with this since we can always keep adding to the multiprovider and use naming conventions for the underlying infoproviders. It is basically zero maintenance as i understand.

      Please elaborate.

      thanks
