Auto-reaction Methods (CEN) (satellite system)

Hi exerts,

I have done the configuration for CCMS alerts. Now, the problem is I don't receive

any E-mails in alert form from Central Monitoring (Solman) auto-

reaction method. I have done the following configuration in solman and

as well as satellite system and using Solman as CEN.

1. Satellite System: Installed CCMS Agent successfully.

2. In solman RZ21, Created a Z_method copied from

CCMS_OnAlert_Email_V2.

On Control Tab: Selected "Only in central system, triggered by CCMS

agent".

Parameters Tab: SENDER = my user exits in client 000, RECIPIENT =

afnan.m.chawla@healthnet.com, RECIPIENT-TYPEID = U, REACT_ON_ALERTS =

YELLOW, TIME_ZONE = PST.

Release Tab: Checked "Auto-reaction method"

Also, the following jobs were configured and running in client 000.

1. SAP_CCMS_CENSYS_DISPATCHER runs every 15 minutes.

2. SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP runs every 30 minutes.

When I assign Auto-reaction method to satellite system by going to

RZ21, Technical Infrastructure >> Configure Central System >> Assign

Central auto-reactions >> after completing those steps, I have never

received any emails. For example, I have assigned Z_method to CPU

utilization, never received any emails where when I go RZ20 and double

on satellite system, CPU utilization shows in RED. I have also checked

that Z_method has assigned properly by going to RZ20, chose satellite

system, View >> “Method Allocation” it does show that Z_method has been

assigned to satellite system, the CPU Utilization.

Thanks,

I will reward points

did you really configure this job as periodically job? You know that this you has to be scheduled as event triggered job? Only this way it can be started by the agents forwarding the alert of a monitored system to the CEN.

You should delete the job from sm37 and reschedule it in client 000 using rz21 - Technical infrastructure - Configure Central System - Activate Central System Dispatching.

    > 2. SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP runs every 30 minutes.

This job should run once the hour. And it has nothing to do with central autoreaction 😉

    Regards, Michael

    Hi Michael,

I did schedule SAP_CCMS_CENSYS_DISPATCHER in Solution Manager in client 000 using rz21 - Technical infrastructure - Configure Central System - Activate Central System Dispatching.

    Thanks,
