DMEE Format Tree ( MT103)

Dear ,

I am trying to generate payments ( F110) in MT103 Format. However, fot this format there is nothing in tree type PAYM. I have the following specific queries

1. in Payment Method for MT103 do i have to flag "map using DME Engine " ?

2. how to set up Format tree MT103 for tree type PAYM in DMEE Transaction ?

Any help will be highly appreciated !

My issue is for Format MT103 there is no standard/ SAP delivered "Format Tree" for "Tree Type" PAYM.

1. Whether to create a format tree for MT103 in DMEE or not

2. The need to create "Format Tree" arise only when we flag the the "map using DME engine". Do we have to flag this ?

You can create a new format ZMT103, I believe you wont have to flag the map.

In DMEE use PAYM tree type and input the Format Tree as "ZMT103 and hit create. I believe this should help you case.

You should use one of the formats of the PAYM tree type.

Copy the Format that is similar to the one you need.

First select tree type PAYM.

Before you Star modifying the format, create it in the PMW in Customizing.

Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable-Business Transactions-Automatic Outgoing Payments-Payment Media-Make Settings for Payment Medium Formats from Payment Medium Workbench

When you have completed those steps, go to the FBZP and assign the format created.

Then you should continue with the modification of the format at the DMEE.

If you want to use the standard MT103 you should not flag the DMEE, if you need to make adjustments to the format I suggest that you create a new format and then use DMEE to model it.

You have to create a new format.

Hi Cristobal,

The issue is - there is no standard MT103 in the system. I do not have any requirment to adjust the sap delivered format. However for Payment Format MT103 there is no corresponding "format tree" for tree type "PAYM".

I know in this case there is no option other than to create a new format for MT103. But how...that is the question !!

please clarify : non existance of format tree MT103 in Tree type PAYM is not a problem as long as " map using DME Engine" is NOT flagged.

is the above statement of mine correct??

As Vj says, you have to create a new Format tree, and model it according to your needs (Building yourself the format MT103 according to your needs).

This new Format ZMT103 has to be the flagged for DMEE (not the original MT103).
