release strategy

i have 9 rel . strategies according to material group & values. so when i put

blank value for material group in the classification view of the first rel. strategy in

the list , system is picking the first rel strategy for p.o even when the material

group is not in the classification list of the rel. strategy.

1) why is it happening ?

2) what is the solution for it.

is the scene same for rel. strategy for scheduling agreement & contract ?

pls help
