explain clearly.... do you want to print X/Y number of records based on the user action or do you want to know the no.of.records in particular internal table.

There is no standard print function to print half of the ALV but you can print all or you have to write your own code for print function.

if you want to know the no.of.records in internal table. use Describe table itab lines n.

      Hi,

      try this way....

1 . sort ur ITAB by flag X and find the count. Xvalue = 8

      2. Find the flag Y count, Yvalue = 12.

      3. Manually append a record in a NEW_ITAB, (For X)

'Total No of records in Flag X'

      4. then

loop ITAB where Flag eq 'X'.

      -

      -

move all the fields to NEW_ITAB

      append NEW_ITAB.

      endloop.

      5. Manually append a record in a NEW_ITAB, (For Y)

'Total No of records in Flag Y'

      6. loop ITAB where Flag eq 'Y'.

      -

      -

move all the fields to NEW_ITAB

      append NEW_ITAB.

      endloop.

      7. now display NEW_ITAB.

      reply back..
