Bex report Heather - keep layout

Dear all,

I have a workbook where cost centres hierarchy node is showed on the column heather but cost centres are not in a sorted way! This month after refresh the workbook the user noted that the cost centres become sorted (as expected)! However this would impact the excel macros and formulas the user has on the excel workbook. I cannot understand the "unsorted" way how the cost centres were showed on the report but I want to keep them after refresh the query. Is there any way to achieve this? Is this related with Properties - "Adjust format after data refresh" ?

Thanks in advance

Best Regards

hi if you have accosiated the cost center with a hierarchy and display the results as a hierarchy sorting isn't exactly as we expected. There is a compination of the chell and the node in order to perform the sorting. In general when we don't have hierarchy we do a right click and select the sorting field. But when we have a hierarchy we have to do the right click in combination with the hierarchy node we wish to sort.So the rest of the hierarchy remains unchanged and the details of the node are getting sorted. You must try and find the best combination for you result. There is a trick by adding a cell at the workbook with your custom sorting and sort the entire workbook with this cell.(like 1.2.3.4.5.6) and not with cost center.

reward if usefull.

Hello Andreas,

Thanks for your reply. This was usefull although I have found what caused my problem and it's not rocket cience! What happen is that the cost centres order on this cost centre hierarchy node were manually changed. Therefore, on the report, that was showing cost centres sorted as the hierarchy, the order changed as well.

As short term fix I will change back the hierarchy node. As long term I have requested the report to be based on cost centre ascending order.

Best Regards
