Is it possible 2 copy PLD template

I created one PLD template and i want 2 copy the same matter to another PLD template is it possible in SAP B1 if so plz help me.....

Hi

When you copy the fields from a Sales Order PLD to an Invoice PLD, you will have to change the fields to 'point' to the correct tables. The Bill To for instance, must be changed to A/R Invoice - Bill To and the Document No field must be A/R Invoice - Doc No.

Use the field index window to highlight each field and make all the neccessary changes (including the hidden fields).

You are probably copying a UDF which doesn't exist in the db you are copying to.

In the PLD have a look at the field index. Go through all the areas. You will see a database field which refers to a table but with no field in the properties window.

You can change this field to a text field instead if you don't need it.

In addition to Daan's reply, do you want to copy layout designer from one template to another pld template but different documents or in the same document ? e.g I have a delivery notes and its format will be made to be a base format in the GRPO report, is this what you need ?

Hi thanks 4 ur reply... for(eg) i am created one template for sales order with company logo, address and some common fields,and they r going to use this fields to all the documents.so i want to copy this template to all the other documents.. plz help me

Sorry - left out fact that you must copy (Ctrl+C) after you have selected all the fields in the layout you want to copy.

Open layout designer. Edit>Select All. Click yes in window asking whether to include hidden fields.

Open other layout in design view . Edit>Select All. Click yes in window asking whether to include hidden fields. Delete all. Ctrl + V to paste fields from other layout.

Save under new name.
