would u please tell me some answers to my questions

1) what is the purpose of new gl account in ECC 6.0

2) what is the purpose of document splitting?

3) can u generate balancesheet report in fi using report painter? if it generate plz give me some guidence to me it's urgent for my client

1. New GL is introduced in ERP 5.0. Briefly it is used for parallel financial reporting, segment reporting, etc... With New GL it is much easier to update general ledger with some new fields for i.e. For what you needed Special purpose ledger, Profit center accounting and General ledger before, now you can do all through New GL.

2. Document splitting is functionality which online splits documents according to predefined criterions. If you used business areas in the past, then you know about usage of transactions F.5D, F.5E. It is now done on line.

3. Yes. Use table GLT0 (if you don't use new GL) and FAGLFLEXT (if you use it)

1) In New GL:

- it has an <b>expanded data</b> structure by default

-real time <b>document breakdown</b> is possible for ex. segment reporting.

-real time r<b>econciliation between CO & FI</b> is possible, also for this Recon A/C is not required.

-It offers the option of carrying out <b>multiple ledger in one gl</b>, which is useful for displaying parallel financial reporting.

2) Document splitting means <b>Document Breakdown.</b>. It is used make the zero balancing setiing for the segment characterstics of each document.
