Transfer Price in Central Finance

Hi,

We have a scenario where client is using Transfer price out of SAP in legacy and we are implementing the Central Finance which will be used for finance primarily for interim but later it will be used as S/4 full blown. My worry is Do I need to activate all the setting liek Ledger or currencies for Group valuation and Profit center valuation now or we can activate later when we bring logistics in scope>

We normally cant activate currencies once the document is posted so this need to be done now. Can some one help if they came across this situation?

Hi Vikash,

If the CF system will eventually become a full scale S/4 system then set up your org structure now in a way that it can cater for the future, including currencies. I guess that there could be tools available for later activations as other users will be in same situation as you are but if you can design and setup now then it should make life easier later.

which S4HANA version you are using? if it is 1511 then you cannot use transfer pricing in it. however if you are using 1610 or above then you can use Transfer Pricing

but once ML is active and productive in valuation area you cannot add any other currency in OMX2.

following error message will appear.

ML type XXX can't be changed because it is productive in valuation area XXXX

am afraid you have to deactivate ML first for adding additional currencies.
