Hello,
we have a customer with around 250 clients. These clients have to maintain twice a month some very simple data (update prices of their products, ingredients etc.)
Right now, they do this via phone and some autom. parsed excel sent via E-Mail. A (Customer) employee is using his login to the SAP-System to maintain/import the files.
They want to enable customer to do so over a Fiori Ui5 application. I see this options:
a ) External Webserver with UI5 and some FTP/E-Mail update
Basically, the employee is pressing a import button once a day, so there is no struggle with licenses. But as drawback, the system setup is quite complicated. We can`t simple deploy from the WebIDE.
b) Hosting on the Cloud
c) Hosting on the ERP/Hub-System
I would prefer hosting on a hub system and develop/test on the Cloud Platform. Simply, we can write the backend in ABAP, we don't struggle with the frequent cloud downtimes, and they are already familiar with user management on an R3 System.
Has anybody already experiences with similar situations, or can give me some input for the open questions?
