FTE--full time equivalent

Hi guys

When making personnel cost planning in BPS,need to input FTE-full time equivalent planning.who can tell me what's FTE and what's purpose for FTE planning.can you give a example?

    FTE is Full time equivalent ---> if you have a employee full time FTE =1

    if you have a part time employee FTE --> 0,5

    In PA Headcount instead full time employee --> 1

    Part time employee --> 1 because headcount is a count of employees in terms of gross number of heads!
