bdc table control rpblem plz help urgent

dear all ,

i am working with bdc table control of tcode IA01 . In this one table control column PLANT which contains value 'KN01' by default . now i want to remove 'KN01' and keep it blank. for this i tried like this.

1 ) perform bdc_field using PLMKB-QMTB_WERKS(02)

' '.

2 ) data mspac(4) type c value ' '.

perform bdc_field using PLMKB-QMTB_WERKS(02)

mspac.

but when i tried to put 3 spaces and 1 letter i.e ' m'. it is replacing with 3 spaces and letter m but it is not replacing when i tried with 4 spaces.plz help its urgent.

    Kumar,

    I think it will get filled automatically when there is no value. As you are passing 4 spaces, it is considering as space and populating with default value.

    Try with mspac variable has 4 blank space value.

    other solution: space is system variable character having single length. try that one for 4 times.
