PO account assignment category K

Dear All,

We woulk like to use PO account assignment category K in PO and post the consumption costs directly to a <u>cost center and activity type</u>.The system determines the consumption accounts from the automatic account detremination tables which is correcct.

But as soon as we give the activity type system throws up an error message ( ME045) that there is an incosistency in the field selection group " activity type" and account assignment category K. But we did try to make all the fields optional for both PO account category K and as weel as the filed status group of the consumption account.

Could anyone please let me know how to overcome this. We want to tack actual costs on cost center and acvity type basis.

We are in ECC 6.0 and activated New Gl.

Any helpful repies will be awarded.

    hi Shyam,

    You can only post one real CO object at the same time. Is activity type a real CO object? Because in this case you cannot post it together with a cost center type.

      If you can set it up, than you can do it in the master data of the activity type. I know it is possible to set up for internal orders, but I have no idea about activity types. Cost centers are always real (except when you post revenues to them).

      "I cant make Cost center statistical in any case since repostings from CC is a definite possibilty."

      I am not sure, as far as I know CCs are always real, but pls. check.

      You have to setup that both CC and activity type are possible fields, but I think that you already did that, this is why I think the problem is around the real/statistical postings.

    Hi

    The issue is with the field staus between the movement type and GL account.

    Get into T.code-OMWB select cancel then select simulation button input your plant Material No and movement type,select account assigment and from next screen click on Check Screen Layout and from next screen select the error log you will come to know what is wrong with the screen layout to get it rectified.
