Hi

which integrtion technologies were present in the SAP world before the emergence of SAP XI?

I heared about technologies like, ALE,BDC,BAPI and BC (Business Connector)..

Could you name those technologies and describe their disadvantages shortly??

what are the differncess between xi and other middlewares?

    This is XML Based communication over the internet is achieved through SAP's Business Connector. This is based one only XML/HTML internet based standards. But XI is more than a business connector, XI has capabilities to integrate not only business system but legacy also.

    BAPI is just an interface not a middleware..
